Bethlehem Lutheran Church Services

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 418 Eighth Ave. NE, Brainerd, will celebrate the fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost with an in-person service at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, September 11. (Note the time change). Reverend Terry Brandt will preach.

During the Adult Forum at 9:30 am, Concordia College will present Casey Stengel with the Call to Service Award. The 10:30 a.m. in-person service will also be streamed live at www.facebook.com/bethlehem.brainerd.

The service will be on www.belcnet.net after its completion for further consultation.

The men’s Bible study will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Super rally planned at Living Savior

LAKE SHORE – “Rally Around Jesus” will be the theme for a super rally on Sunday, September 11 at Living Savior Lutheran Church.

It will begin with an outdoor worship service (weather permitting) at 9 a.m. After worship, there will be games, prizes and face painting for kids and kids at heart. Elders will grill their favorite foods and serve pizza. There will be cotton candy, popcorn, sno cone and nacho cheese stations as well as a candy buffet for the sweet tooth.

The following Sunday, the church will begin fall classes immediately after worship.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 1420 S. Sixth St., Brainerd, will have three worship services.

On Wednesday, September 7, there will be a midweek worship service at 6 p.m. with Holy Communion served.

On Sunday, September 11, there will be two traditional worship services at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with Holy Communion. The service will be broadcast live on KVBR 1340 Radio and streamed live on YouTube.

On Tuesday, September 13, the Women’s Bible Study will be held at 10 a.m. in the assembly area. The Jolly Freetimers will meet at noon at the Pizza Ranch.

The First Congregational United Church of Christ‘s worship service on Sunday, September 11 will include a hymn sung in person and on Facebook, followed by an hour of fellowship.

An Adult Forum at 11:30 a.m. is a report from the 100 Community Conversations Project.

Early Events of the Lutheran Church

First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St., Brainerd, will celebrate the Fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost with worship in the sanctuary and online.

Backpack blessings will take place during the service. Pastor Patty Bjorklund and Pastor Jordan Gades will preach and preside.

Sunday school will meet from 10-11 a.m. in the mezzanine (second floor) immediately following the 9 a.m. worship service.

Coffee Fellowship will take place at 10 a.m. at Koinonia Hall. Members of the social ministry will serve a baked egg breakfast. Proceeds will go to the Sharing Bread soup kitchen and World Hunger.

South Long Lake Church to host Lawson

Pastor Jeff Lawson will speak at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, September 11 at South Long Lake Church, 13152 Smart Road.

A potluck will follow the service as a meet and greet for Pastor Jeff and his wife, Cindy.

Emily Espeseth to speak at Crosslake Christian Assembly of God Church

CROSSLAKE – Emily Espeseth will speak at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 11 at the Crosslake Christian Assembly of God Church, 13919 County Road 36, Crosslake.

Emilie Espeseth

Espeseth will share his missionary journeys. She has traveled overseas to perform missions with organizations such as YWAM, AIM, and Southeastern University Missions.

More recently, she has traveled to Europe, including serving Ukrainian immigrants at the Polish border.
