We now know why so many wishes have not come true over the years!
In Good Witch Season 7 Episode 6, the Merriwick cousins visited a wishing well and ended up influencing a whole bunch of people in one fell swoop.
It has been a pleasant hour.
Martha’s wishes were coming true like crazy, from a trip to Buenos Aires to a shipment of chocolate at hand.
But sometimes these childhood wishes can be rather annoying. For example, her dreams of an exotic vacation fell through when another wish came true: a sprained ankle!
I’m glad the revelations highlighted at least one unsavory wish. Children often wish weird things. A sprained ankle to get out of gym class is one of them.
I thought of the children who wanted to harm their enemies. Most wishes don’t come true, but when Merriwick is involved they are granted like crazy. Can you imagine wishing a classmate tragedy and learning years later that the very scenario has come true? Ouch!
Thank goodness this is Good Witch and not a show that plunges into the pit of misery.
While we don’t know what Abigail and Cassie wanted at the well, with all the thoughts Cassie had recently about her mother and met her mother’s childhood friend as she did, I wonder if his wish has also come true. .
No matter what age you lose your parents, you still lack the comfort their words can bring you. And meeting Ellen brought back beautiful thoughts of her mother to Cassie.
It made her feel close to her mother again, and Ellen even kept a letter she received that was only about Cassie.
It’s the kind of connection that can last a lifetime, and now Cassie has Ellen in her life too, and that relationship has benefited something that has unfolded in another surprising way.
Of course, Sam has a rockstar as a friend. What rockstar of a surgeon doesn’t? Considering the excitement of various Mann’s managers, it’s hard to believe he’s never talked about it before.
Surely, a song would have aired on the radio which would have led to his occasional connection. But whatever. It’s always nice to see a little bit of Sam’s life before Middleton.
We’ve always known Sam is a musician and Good Witch often allows James Denton to share his talent with the world.
If Sam had any concerns about going back to surgery after his accident, grabbing the guitar and playing with Logan was a great way to show that he was back and ready for action.
During the fundraising benefit concert for the church, I looked at the crowd and wondered why they were even bothering with Logan. It was pretty much all friends and family, so all the money they had to give, they would have donated to the church anyway.
And, I wasn’t far off because they didn’t raise enough capital to do whatever they wanted. The church move was covered, but their plans were dead in the water with no place to move it.
And that’s where Ellen came in. With land to sell, she donated it for the church. So we should see more church scenes soon, and Ellen should stick around for the long haul.
Stéphanie’s wish has also come true. Her boyfriend from Camp Weehawken has come to town. It was a surprise for sure, and since Stephanie was already feeling the pressure from Adam and Sean nearby, she was even more in conflict with a third man vying for her affection.
If all this attention had gotten her out of control, it was Abigail who reminded Stephanie that her intention to break up with Adam had been to pursue her dreams, and instead of doing so, she had focused all her time on Men. .
Abigail also kicked Donovan.
It’s really worrying that Donovan wanted to flatter an elected official to gain his approval. When competing with Abigail as dueling mayors, everything we saw of him suggested he was a man of action.
He takes a stand and knows where he wants to go with his ideas.
But even considering throwing a tennis match to make someone else look good was an odd choice. And Abigail was so right to urge him not to do that.
It doesn’t take Superman to see that if we lose we’re just another couple in the crowd for them.
You don’t earn someone’s respect by not giving your all in everything you do. It would have been a terrible mistake to back down and let Boyd and Gloria win the game.
Since playing to win, they’ve won, and now they’ve not only gotten Donovan’s approval, but they’ve made friends and proven that Donovan has what it takes to lead.
During Good Witch Season 6, George met Samantha in the hospital, but we haven’t seen many since.
Luckily, he didn’t stop chasing her, and he had so much fun that George decided to take their relationship to the next level.
Samantha: I have to give it to you, George. Tonight could be up there with the ball.
George: Prom might be the last time I asked someone that question.
Samantha: What question is that?
George: Samantha Thurlow, are you going to stay with me?
It would mean jumping into bed for kids today, but in Middleton and with the older crowd, it means something a little more stable. But I didn’t expect Samantha to say no.
Samantha needs more time and needs to move at a slower pace than George. George is willing to wait, sure, but with so many people finding love around him, you can’t fault him for trying.
Joy couldn’t wait to get ready for her first date with Zoey. It was so cute to see her so nervous, and being nervous is a good indication that Zoey means something to her.
They had one of the best dates we’ve ever seen on Good Witch. It was a traditional date that included dinner, a concert and a night walk with ice cream.
When they said they didn’t want the date to end at the restaurant, they weren’t kidding.
The timing of the date was also interesting. They closed the restaurant, attended a full concert, and still had time to find an ice cream vendor open late. I will say Middleton has a much more vibrant nightlife than Pittsburgh, where I can’t even get a pizza delivered after 9pm !!
Even though they have a natural chemistry that makes them feel very comfortable together, Joy and Zoey still wanted to impress each other. It was adorable.
And Joy’s wish came true as well. But what does that mean?
The painting that inspired an entire episode of Season 6 of Good Witch hid another secret, and I’m dying to know who the two women in the painting were and why there’s a second amulet.
The second amulet will help the Merriwicks determine what darkness threatens them, so we should get a story that will explain it to us.
Do you have any theories about the two women in the painting?
What did you think of Joey’s date (that’s the name of their ship!)?
Am I the only one who can spend my life on Cassie’s beautiful veranda?
Be sure to watch Good Witch online if you missed it, and drop any commentary on the latest episode below.
