Kennesaw Presents Hanukkah, Christmas Events


New: The Kennesaw Holiday Market. 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. December 4. Downtown Kennesaw. The hosts are the Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority and the Kennesaw Art & Culture Commission. The goods are handmade / crafted, produced locally and suitable for holiday gifts.

Kennesaw’s A Day with Santa and Parade. 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. December 4. Main Street, downtown Kennesaw. The parade route will begin at Adams Park, left on Watts Drive, left on Main Street (north), Park Drive and left on Park Drive (back into Adams Park).

The road closures will be Park Drive, Dallas Street, Whitfield Place, Moon Station Road, JO Stephenson Avenue and Watts Drive.

In addition to Santa Claus, the 2-hour parade will feature marching bands, decorated floats, vintage cars and colorfully costumed characters. Then, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Main Street, there will be tube sliding, inflatables, entertainment, children’s crafts, tours with Santa Claus, stage entertainment, a screening of “Elf” and a holiday market. The evening will end with the lighting of the Christmas tree at 6 p.m.

All aboard for the pleasure of the holidays. 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 11 $ 5 to $ 10, free for children 2 and under. The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, 2829 Cherokee St., Kennesaw. The film “The Polar Express” will be screened at 11 am and 2 pm, with a reading of the book at 1 pm Father Christmas and Mother Christmas will be present from 1 pm to 5 pm Craft and educational tables will be set up throughout the day.,
