Phyllis J. Wetzel, 90, of Allentown, died January 22, 2022 at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.

She was the wife of the late Kermit G. Wetzel, who died in 2005.

Born in Cetronia, she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Edna P. (Shellhammer) Schantzenbach.

She was a longtime member of Cedar Lutheran Church, South Whitehall.

In addition to being a cleaner, she was an accountant/secretary for her husband’s contracting business.

She was also an Avon sales associate and a dedicated supporter of her husband’s long career as a volunteer firefighter, as well as a founding/lifetime member of the Cetronia Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crafting, painting, and playing the organ and piano.

His survivors include a son Daryl Wetzel and his wife, Betty, of Lenhartsville; daughter Kathy Shoemaker and husband, Robert, of Alburtis; grandchildren Jenna Sell, Justin Shoemaker and Wade Wetzel; and great-grandchildren Keira, Brady, Leyton, Hudson and Marlowe.
