Winston-Salem, NC – Shannon Crystal Fulk Blevins returned home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, November 15, 2021.
Our precious daughter was so loved by her parents, family and friends, but God had other plans for her. She is at peace now.
In her youth, she loved sports, had a passion for softball and excelled at it. She was also an animal lover. At the age of four, she sang solos in church. After high school she went to college and got a degree in computer graphics, after graduation she went to work for Lawrence Joel Coliseum.
God blessed Shannon with two beautiful children: Baily and Kealeigh. She will be missed by her family and friends, but God knew what was best.
Shannon is survived by her father and mother, Barry and Carolyn Fulk of King, North Carolina; his son Bailey Alexander Blevins of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; his daughter, Kealeigh Crystal Rawlings of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a brother Jamie Fulk (Teresa) of Morehead City, NC, a niece and a nephew.
Shannon’s favorite Bible verse was 1 Corinthians 13:
13 Although I speak the language of men and angels, and have no charity, I have become like a ringing brass or a ringing cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and although I have all the faith, so that I can remove mountains, and have no charity, I am nothing.
3 And although I give all my goods to feed the poor, and although I give my body to be burned, and have no charity, it does not benefit me in any way.
4 Charity suffers long and is good; charity does not envy; charity does not boast, does not swell,
5 Do not behave inappropriately, do not seek their own, do not get easily irritated, do not think badly;
6 Do not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth;
7 Endure all, believe all, hope for all, endure all.
8 Charity never fails; but if there are prophecies, they will fail; that there are languages, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will faint.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away with.
11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I understood like a child, I thought like a child; but when I became a man, I put childish things aside.
12 For now we see through a glass, gloomily; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I will know how well I am known.
13 And now there remains faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Boyles Chapel Early Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Scott Vernon and Pastor Jim Seigal officiating.
