The first deadline to apply for Kenosha County Youth As Resources grant funding for the 2021-2022 grant year is October 12.
Youth as Resources is a grant-making organization that funds community service projects designed and led by youth that benefit the individuals of Kenosha County.
Grants of up to $ 500 are available for K-12 youth groups in Kenosha County who want to make a difference in their community. Each youth group should have a sponsoring organization such as a church, school, or community agency, as well as an adult sponsor.
Presentations of grant proposals are to be made to the Youth-Led YAR Board of Directors at its next proposal review meeting on Tuesday, October 19.
Projects should clearly meet YAR’s definition of “community service”, meaning “youth and adults spend time together to make positive change that meets a community need”.
Youth as Resources is presented as part of a partnership between the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension Kenosha County and United Way of Kenosha County.
